Which would you have and why?

What are the pros and cons of each phone?

I'm a huge Nokia fan(boy), I currently have a n95-3, before that I had the n95-1. I plan on getting the n96 next year after the price has come down a bit, a grand is a bit steep for me. The only good things i see about the iphone (assuming 3G) is the screen size, nice big screen, full keyboard altho it's a touchscreen. Both have 16gb interal memory, plus the n96 has a micro sd slot so you could put a 8gb card in there for 24gb, which is pretty sweet.

the iphone can't do MMS messages (i don't think it can yet aleast) plus it is apple, which isn't a plus for me. You also don't need a program to add files to the N96, altho PC suite is nice, it's not required unless you want to update the firmware, which never costs money, unlike the iphone. the iphone only has carrier assisted gps whereas the n96 has legitmate gps. I prefer smaller and thicker to longer and flatter for a phone. If price is a factor you can get two iphones for one n96.

Personally I'd get the nokia any day, but i'm beyond biased.

Iphone certainly looks cool, but that's all what it has compared to most of top of the line Nokia phones. So my choice is simple... Nokia.

I had an N95-1 for a year and i hated it .... the OS is slow, buggy and unintuitive.

I even went back to using an old sonyericsson phone for the last 8 months of the contract and i now own and iphone and its great.

The Iphone has NEVER had pay firmware updates, and I'm pretty sure the 3G does have a "real" gps (I still have the original so im not certain).

Yeah that's my bad, it was the ipod touch that you had to pay for the firmware upgrade from 1.4 to 2.1 or something like that.

I looked up the GPS thing too and yeah it appears to have real GPS as well, but it's not real-time GPS, it does it provide turn by turn directions. Also the GPS doesn't have a reroute feature.

I found the N95-1 to be a bit slow too, but the N95-3 has more ram and is much snappier.
