I've touched up the girlfriend...

...because I took a god awful picture of her, in low light and now want your opinions on how I might improve my post processing techniques next time. I've a basic knowledge of CS3 having done website graphics, but this is my first attempt at PP.

Fortunately the girlfriend forgave me!

F/4 - 1/20 sec - ISO-800 - +0.7 step - 24mm - Canon 450D

Good fix....maybe a little too much on the skin. Buy the way I would even the color on the arm and chest area--- to resolve the tan lines.

Yeah, I think a little too much PP as well - brighter lighting in the original shot would have worked to your advantage.

A little 'plastic' for my taste, nice job on the teeth. I think some of the issues with the shot are those of a close portrait with a wide lens which tend not to be all that flattering.

I think it works, as well as less PP, would. Depends on the mood you want.

Nice fix! Mostly importantly, you 'client' likes it!

Matter of taste, of course, but I would have gone with a lot less saturation and bit more blue.

I don't like the fix, it's too unnatural. The eye fix is good, ditch the rest, and do something with the stray hair.
