Many french speaking people don't like speaking german, So they do actually communicate in english with their swiss-german contacts...

My ex-wife had a girlfriend who was Danish and her husband was from Iraq. She didn't speak Arabic (or Chaldean, I don't remember which) and he didn't speak Danish. The ony language they had in common was English. Their children grew up tri-lingual.

Weird? Aren't most cheesecakes graham-cracker-crumb crusts? With cream cheese, flavour and sugar? So you have it all right there with much less work!

Which is why it is my new favorite snack :)

I get to see Terri in a few minutes which means I'll be able to give her a great big bear hug without warning.

Yeah, I'm a thrillseeker.

You are such a daredevil!
No one was harmed in the execution of the aforementioned hug.

It is interesting that I do not feel the leas prickly or invaded upon by bull and mouse hugs ;)

Hey everyone! This is just a quick drop by What did I miss since my last visit (ages ago)?

I've been away for 10 days (Ireland) and am back home since a few days. I was just too busy to do any catch up. At elast, I almost finished my Africa book (it will be on blurb). 200 pages

I have so many photos waiting to be processed

Anyway, I hope everybody is doing great! How's the baby doing Lisa?

Didier! Glad to 'see' you! Sounds like you have a lot of processing ahead of you, can't wait to see Ireland. Tis second on my list, right after Africa.

I have just been looking at my You Tube bookmarks and saw this guy again !

I don't think I have posted this before but if I have put it down to old age and forgive me.

I don't normally like jugglers but if this guy (external link) is for real (and I think he is) then WOW. It's worth watching it to the end.....

Jenn , hope ya have a nice day despite the craptacular tired feeling .

I'm still craptacularly tired.... but having a good day. We saw Sean's best friend at the school carnival and got invited to go see his game... so we did... brrrrrrrrrr there was a gale force wind blowing across the fields! I won a basket from the basket raffle that the school was doing as part of it's fundraiser today! I won a bunch of camping stuff!

JENN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, for the Ireland pictures, you'll have to wait for me to finish:

1/ Africa book
2/ Germany pictures
3/ Various Switzerland pictures
4/ The time that takes my computer to process RAW

Oh, and in between, I have to work

But don't worry, it will all come in due time

*stomps foot* I don't wanna wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *still likes Africa et al but can't wait to see Ireland*

I once had someone tell me he had received a resume cover letter that was written like that. You can guess where it ended up...

When I was an administrative assistant I was asked my the director I worked under to look at his choices for my part time help.... He wanted me to narrow them down a bit more... I couldn't believe it the man gave me an application that had been filled out in PURPLE CRAYON!!!!!!!!! Now mind you I like purple, but c'mon you can't tell me a person couldn't find a pen to fill out an application... that was the first one I put to the don't even consider pile!

Finally managed to submit my duck shots to the book project!

Now all I've got to do is see if I have any more bw! images to submit!

Book worthy images... I still can't decide, and I have no way of getting model releases for my firefighter shot so I can't submit it. I don't know who half those people are in that picture... Sucks royally because it is/was likely my only shot to make it in the book :cry:

With what. The last wedding I shot took 10 minutes from start to finish.

The Methodist service is very short. We filled ours with music, after months of planning, I didn't want the ceremony to be done in the wink of an eye.

PM the Hounddawg on the model release. You might be OK.

Windy here too, I'm guesing it is Bobert and Jamie, it is coming from the South.

First though, I have to start the chilli for dinner, best when simmered for a few hours.:D
