Zane (or anyone knowledgeable in such things) - can you help me identify this? The seed head was quite large - about 2 ins long and this shot was taken mid August. I have no idea what it is ???!

I would have said so too, Crissa, except for the size which was larger than I expected.

Anyway - I need to get some sleep now - I'm nodding off at the keyboard here.

G'night all

A limb-challenged spider is still a spider :-|

Well, I'd head out on the pennisula and see what I could capture, if nothing else, maybe you can get a good shot of the lens at the lighthouse. This would be a beautiful time of year to catch some colors in the rolling dunes/vineyards.

I was hoping for a winter scene for the light house :)

and I do have a ace up my sleve.

By the way Becky want to hear something funny?

I've lived here for 15 + years and on the 13 year is when I started photography at first 3 years just for the point and shoot which I've learned the rules of thirds from. And then just this last year for diving head into photography and I'm never going to look back.

Anyways I'm just saying I really don't know where I can shoot pretty much except for the State hospital "but they ruined that now" and cemeteries.

You could head north a ways to Petoski or ever further and get the bridge. 100+ miles makes a nice day trip.

You do have a point Becky.

There is a spot over in Williamsburg I don't want to give out for a great winter shot and I know I'm going to use my tamron lens for that.

You may know the spot there is a post office right next to the spot.
