I saw that same Breed All about it and agree they look like wonderful companion animals. I am partial to pound mutts myself but these days even tho I know it isn't the breed it is the owner, they all seem to be pit bulls and that makes me nervous.

City shelters seem to have a lot more pits and pit crosses than rural shelters if you are looking for a shelter dog.
I am partial to labs and lab mixes. They are smart, light shedders, good size, athletic, long lived, and loyal loving dogs.

Good idea, Crissa.

Hi, Deb, feeling any better? Sounds like you and Crissa need to hunker down in nice warm blankets with a mug of soup.

Thanks for the good thoughts Becky but I think mine may be from the weather ..that and everything's stirred up from the gusty winds which cant be good for allergies .

Miss Mini is one in a million. I am not overly fond of little dogs but she has the heart of a german shepherd!

I agree...rural shelters seem to have a better blend of doggies.

(and pssst.... did you miss Lonnie in the Disneyland pic? He doesn't blend in THAT much, does he? )

^^Yeah, that.

I wanna be able to afford to go and get my own set of ears.....

Well, you could always drive down to Disney World in Florida....I am sure that Max would let you crash at his house at night.

I scored BIG this morn!!!! I had received my photoframe4 software a couple days ago but the registration # didn't work. So of course I called customer service, they finally got back to me just a few minutes ago. Somehow they sent me the Pro version rather than the Standard that I had purchased. They are not requiring that I send it back or pay the diffrence in price. He just gave me a new activation # and that was it! How kewl is that?!!!!! The price diff is about $100 between the standard and pro edition. That is what I call very good customer service!

That is a score! Now was this the zip file that you were having problems with a couple weeks ago?

cfpackerfan wrote in post #6548076 (external link)
I was wondering where you've been.

There were some pics posted of recent meet ups:

The Bobby family, John and Heather and Lonnie

The Jim family and the Cat family

Lonnie wrote some short stories some time ago and shared those.

Pete's getting married day after tomorrow.

Jen's interview went great, and she looked pretty hawt and sexy in her interview suit.

Paula used the word 'windmill' in bad context.
Ummmmm....

OH! Dan and Lisa have been gushing over baby for a couple days.

Jim thinks veal tastes like baby poop.

Terri is incinerating spreadsheets.

Well...that caught me up...a lil bit.

We are seeing the same over here. A boat manufacturer, Bayliner, who has been in our area for years is completely shutting down. 175 jobs lost to the local community.

Well that sux...wife has been itching to get a boat for some time now...but I keep putting it off.

I just got a call from my mom. My sister had a mastectomy for breast cancer they found a week or so ago. It seems the Lymph nodes are clear and she won't need chemo which is wonderful. W have been a bit on edge over here so it is nice to get encouraging news.

That's some good news.

LOTRR: Please, Not the Birthmark...

LOL!! That can only give Jim some more ideas that I desire not to see.

thomascanty wrote in post #6549993 (external link)
Sorry. I didn't see your request in time. I'll take care of that next time I see Bobert. Can you wait a little while?

Yeah....I think not. :|

I ended up with a tiny blister on the bottom my the little toe on my right foot. Nothing that I'd ever deem worthy of complaining about.

Me too...well, two of em....on one foot. One under the big toe and one on the side of my heel.

We'll get Robert out to Oregun in June and I'll take care of it myself.
Unless of course, he fights back.

Pay for my week long cruise and well talk :p

Here's another collage (done by request)

That's a nice collage, but the shot looks off to me. The shot on the left to me screams to have the arm on the opposite side of the belly.

short5 wrote in post #6550519 (external link)
Do you have any of the nudy ones? You know the artistic ones? I would be interested in seeing those.

short5 wrote in post #6550541 (external link)
Yeah there is no way to dig yourself out when you plan on catching up later. Cat talks way too much for that.

Truth. LOL!

short5 wrote in post #6550571 (external link)
I thought Jen but hell lets make it TPBM girls nudey night.

Darn...did I miss it?

cfpackerfan wrote in post #6550905 (external link)
Another shot:

(Yes, I am giving her some normal images too, but playing with these has relieved the stress of trying to finish the collage, LOL)

I don't know why...but I just had the thought that you should have a shot with the shoes on the bottom of the belly so that it looks like Mrs. Potato Head  Of course with a face painted on the belly too.

puddlepirate44 wrote in post #6551027 (external link)
Baby shot. I will try not to saturate the thread with these. I'll leave that up to my better half.

Great shot of the grandkid Dan...saturate...saturate.

My knees were killing me this afternoon, until I went around the park three times on the train trying to get a particular shot. Resting my legs for 45 minutes made them feel much better and I felt pretty good on the drive home.

My legs were killing me too after 5 days of walking.
No wonder I couldn't find you on Thursday when I didn't have my phone....you were on the train. :|

Text just received from my sis:

To impress a woman: kiss her, hug her, compliment her, love her tease her, protect her support her.
To impress a man: show up naked with beer.

LOL! I don't like beer, but liquor would do.

cfpackerfan wrote in post #6553552 (external link)
My sister sent me one that said "I love you and your friendship means a lot to me, but if Zombies were chasing us, I would so trip your ass!"

Yeah. I felt the love.

LOL!!

Can someone tell me why so many people elect to use the "invisible mode" while in the forum?

You weren't supposed to see me.

cfpackerfan wrote in post #6553713 (external link)
There are a lot of times when I pop in for 5 minutes to read, but don't have time to post. But if someone clicks my profile, it says "Last activity: 1 minute ago" and they think that I'm ignoring them. I didn't want that to happen, so if I'm in invisible mode, I can prevent that.

Besides, there are lots of times when I turn my screen off, but leave POTN on, and I don't want people thinking I'm here when I'm not.

But...yeah, that^^

Hi Deb. Yes we did have fun. But as always, it was not long enough. John and I also enjoyed the time we spent with Robert, Mari and Evan at the SD Zoo, although I had some co-workers tease me about a busman's holiday. We always like meeting up with Lonnie at Disneyland. Since being introduced to his game, we look at Disneyland a whole new way.

What's a "busman's holiday"?

Yes they are, but according to the other person that lives in the house and shall remain nameless for this conversation, anything under 40 pounds isn't really a dog. Please don't hold that against him, we all have out faults.;)

Zane, I really like the hunting breeds too, for all the reasons you named. There are so many good dogs out there, from Heinz 57's to purebreads with linages as long as you can see. I wouldn't mind experiencing ownership with several. Curt would like a boarder collie, but to be fair to the breed, we need the land and time to give one to run.

I do think a responsible owner needs to do the research for the breed and make sure they can provide the proper environment for the breed characteristics. Many dogs can and will adapt to their pack, but; there are special needs that do need to be recognized and addressed.
