really...my daughter saw the photos and said "okay you didn't lie but at least you don't look like a cheap cinnamon..." she went on but that was the basics of her pm. It's like a cinnamon hard candy color...really. Ask Becky when she comes on.

I got 2 emails today, from a brother and a mother of one of the coastguardsmen on the rescue. They told me that the photos touched them beyond measure. I was so moved by their letters. It made me feel better than any wedding shoot I've ever done.

Cool calacas! I've been trying to explain this holiday to my kids but they just don't get it. Do you have a gallery somewhere I might be able to point my students to so they can see what I've been trying to explain?

I'm on the hard copy only train. It would be tricky to read books in the tub without good old paper....and a little more dangerous too.

John and I took photos of the Dia De Los Muertos decorations at San Diego Old Town when there a couple of weeks ago.

I tend to agree with you on the reading in the bathtub.

I think you are right, Lonnie. She's missing the long 'train' feathers. However, I've done some looking on Wikipedia and it looks like there are white peacocks too - certainly there were some putting on an impressive disply in the pictures on Wiki.

This time of year it could be either a peahen or peacock. The tail feathers are a mating thing and the males only have the long tail feathers during breeding season, and then they drop off.

That is exactly what I was thinking and I just didn't say in my reply to Tiff because I could not remember!!!! Glad I'm not the only one!

I'm totally not caught up this is a run through really quick. Had to rush up to my mom & dad's house. Dad was out working in a cell phone dead zone so mom called me when she fell and hurt herself. We're back from the urgent care with 7 stitches above her eye, a broken toe and some other scrapes and bangs.... Could've been much worse! So I'm off again....

John has been mentioning that he has been missing my homemade chocolate chip cookies (lately, I have been using the break apart and bake kind). So we went shopping today to pick up the missing ingrediants, and I have spent the last several hours baking. I took some over to one of our tenants (this is the family that watches our furkids when we go off) and when I handed the Dad the bag of cookies, he said "great - More sugar"
