I'm totally not caught up this is a run through really quick. Had to rush up to my mom & dad's house. Dad was out working in a cell phone dead zone so mom called me when she fell and hurt herself. We're back from the urgent care with 7 stitches above her eye, a broken toe and some other scrapes and bangs.... Could've been much worse! So I'm off again....

As much as Microsoft is maligned, they are doing a few things right. Heather and I went to the Navy Exchange today and picked up a copy of Microsoft Office 2007 Standard. The exchange is selling a "Military Appreciation Edition" that retails for $79.00 instead of the Microsoft MSRP of $399.99. It can be used on up to three computers...

My laptop came with Microsoft Word on it, preinstalled for free. I wasn't expecting that. But, I actually prefer Open Office, anyway.

That sounds like the weather we've had here! We had our first snow of the season just this past week... it was 70 today... sunny...
