I removed mine, I was on facebook and it said she celebrated with friends yesterday, so I got confused.

Good Morning all you late risers. The sun is up soon here, so I think I will head out with Jasper for a long walks before getting to work around here.

Up at 0345 to go to work for a couple of hours. Yay. Back home to do some laid back drawing... who moved my ruler?

If I don't shoot some foliage today I don't think there will be any left!! It has been windy here, quite gusty and bad for picture taking.

We had lots of color yesterday, but it was rainy, so I didn't bother bringing out the camera. This morning on the way to work, of course, I noticed that about 50% of the leaves vacated their Summertime abodes and were coating the streets. Now all the trees look like they have mange. Geez, that must be embarrassing for them.

Man, it is warm out here. Supposed to get cold with a bit of wet snow mid week, then warm again.

We have been following the election with great interest over here ( as we should in the 51st State) and other than the selection of Sarah Palin it has really lacked humour. We British can't understand anything unless we can laugh at it.

The US has a bit of a reputation for not doing irony well, I think that is unfounded because when they do do irony they do it extremely well and at last I have found something that makes me laugh at this election (and to be honest also makes me cry as it applies to politics universally)

So HERE (external link) you have it from of JibJab

HAHAHAA!!!! That was good! :lol::lol:

So, I guess you really like the colder climates then. ;)

But, you missed a whole schwack of good country between those two states. ;)

YES!!! I love cold. I know I missed alot of good country, those were just the two states that came to mind first! I was born in Minnesota in February, maybe thats where I get my fondness for the cold.;)

That was FUNNY... I will be glad when this baloney is over though... It feels like choosing the lesser of two evils...

Thats exactly how I think about the whole thing.

Morning all!!!!

I tried to vote, but my candidate, Nunov D. Abuv, wasn't listed. Weird.

Very nice Tiff, maybe boost the contrast and warm it up a tad.;)

Thanks, I'll give it a shot.

EDIT: Wow...subtle but nice difference..thanks for the suggestion.

What is sleep?

I forget.

G'mae all (look at me trying to fit in ;) )

The wedding last night was overrated. Nothing overly fancy and the dress certainly didn't look like $9000. The food was pretty good though.

And, I'm abstaining on voting as I don't think I've got the residency to vote. :)

Oh, and any tips on editing out chin hair....the girl from the senior shoot had quite a few on her chin.

BALLOT

For President of POTN Lounge

  • __X__ Permagrin, president; cfpackerfan, vice-president
  • ____ Glarnax the Destroyer, president; Sir Not-Appearing-In-This-Film, vice-president
  • ____ Jerp, Zombie of Upper Michigan, president; Andy Warhol's Left Kidney, vice-president

For Strange Guy at the End of the Bar

  • __X___ puddlepirate44, incumbent (strangest guy I know...deserves to win this)
  • _____ Morkot Uhngrat of Mongolia, guy with a weird name

For Secretary of Bold and Pink Things

  • __X__ Thomas "Lonnifred" Canty, incumbent
  • ____ Jamie Holladay, upstart

Kommisar of Meany Headedness

  • ____ T. "The Hammer" D.(candidate is running unopposed)
  • __X___(write in) Bobert. TthD has been so mellow during election season, maybe he's turned over a new leaf....however Bobert seems quite willing to step into his spot.

Director of the Offices of Grumpy and Obnoxious

  • __X__ JWright, incumbent (director my eye....he should be KING! mwahahahaa)
  • ____ That guy that was behind me when I was at the stop light on Circle and 9th.

Rebel

  • __X__ Zane, incumbent (sympathy vote since he's getting his rebel buns kicked by a young sweet woman)
  • ____ Alyssa (riiiiiiight...)

Henchman

  • __X__ Miss "Dragon Lady" Pix (is there anyone else?)
  • ____ Some other candidate that doesn't really value their life.

MEASURES

Measure 42

This measure will create a new governmental department called "Smilie Immigration Reform". Under this department, all smilies, regardless of their original homeland, will be indoctrinated and documented for permanent citizenship within the Lounge. The Director of SIR will be nominated by the President and will be appointed by a majority vote of eligible voters of the Lounge.

  • __x_ Yes, create this Department
  • ___ No, don't create this Department because I'm a low down Smilie bigot.

Measure 1,248

Under this measure, Jamie will cease talking about his grooming habits.

  • ___ Yes, please, Dear God, please yes.
  • _x__ No, because it (gives Jamie something fun to torment us all with)

Measure ß

This will create a governmental oversight committee that will regulate Zane's fiery matchstick head. It will measure the BTU output and set parameters on how much candle-watt power he can emit on any given hour.

  • ____ Yes, because this kind of Big Brother Activity warms my anally retentive heart.
  • __X__ No. Geez, who thinks this stuff up?

Measure Q

This measure will change the name of the nation "Uzbekistan" to be "Larry" because Larry is so much easier to say and spell.

  • ____ Yes, and, while you're at it, do something about Massachesetts or Connecticut.
  • __X__ No. Just no. I'm plainly disagreeable. (besides, you're just jealous that you LOST that scrabble game)

Measure Grady Blinkblatz

This measure will allow legal citizens of the Lounge to openly confess that they think that the Eagles of the '70's sound more and more like Country Western music as time goes on.

  • ____ Yes. Desperado? C'mon.
  • __X__ No. Rock legends, and I'm in NO denial. Legend. FIRM

Measure *

This measure will grant the president of the Lounge the ability, without oversight, to bring her husband a beer whenever the urge hits.

  • ____ Yes, dang, that man needs a beer.
  • ____ No, it should be expanded to included Starbucks and the occasional Tequila Sunrise.
  • __X___ install beer fridge in appropriated office and makes sure keys are at easy access.

Measure f/2.8

The voting in of this measure will end the ongoing debate over the annunciation of the word "bokeh" to be BOE-kah.

  • __X__ Yes, let's just end this.
  • ____ No, because I'm argumentative and fundamentally wrong.
