Big boxes don't get lost as easily during shipping. And it's paid for by weight not dimensions. 7D MKII ■ 10-22 ■ 15-85 ■ 28-135 ■ Σ 50-150 ■ 70-200 f4L ■ 100-400L ■ 580EX II

In this case I would say the cubic weight would be considerably higher than the actual weight. Michael

And it's paid for by weight not dimensions. USPS charges by both weight and size. Once the cashier asked if I could fit my item in a slightly smaller box because I was just over the limit for the higher price bracket. I was shipping internationally, so maybe there's a difference?
