POTN Book Volume 3 - Submissions now open

Submissions are now OPEN for the POTN Book: Volume 3

Submission Period is 17 October to 17 November 2008. Submissions will close at 24:00 PST.

That's Right, it is time for Volume III. With the success of The First 2 volumes of the POTN Coffee Table Books, the volunteers have stepped up to do it again! ( Volume I - Volume II )

Some things are a bit different for this year as well. Briefly:

1. Minimum Join Date 1 July 2008
   
2. One submission per member per Gallery Share Competition (Share)
   
3. Submissions must be in sRGB @ maximum jpg format (no lower than 10 in PS)
   
4. EXACTLY 2574 on the longest side
   
5. Name the file what ever you want
   
6. No submissions of PUBLISHED images from Volume 1 or Volume 2.
   
7. More Details FAQ and Terms and Conditions Thread.

1. 200 pages this year.
   
2. One Signature Image per Share like Volume I; plus a couple of single page photos (smaller than the Signature shot) that also defines the share like Volume 2.

Must remember to submit this time around...I missed the deadline on Vol 2 by a few weeks, and I'd really like to get into Vol 3.

This sounds very exciting! I'd love to try to my luck in getting into this!

I just want to make sure I'm understanding this correctly. By 1 image per gallery share, does this I can only submit 1 pet photo, 1 wildlife photo, 1 landscape photo, etc. or does it mean I can only submit 1 photo total?

It's one photo per share, so a total of 16, if you so wish.

Of that total of 16 can it be in the same category? The reason I'm asking is because my main subject is whales in the wild so narrowing it down to just one would be very difficult!

Sorry Mandy but only one submission in wildlife. If some how you can convicence the Panel that you have a whale as a pet you can submit a whale there too. . You can submit one photo per share.
