Ok well I'm not sure if that what it is called... I want to put my name on some of my photos... like a copy right or watermark kind of thing...I need to know how to make one or what I would need to do...

The simple way is to make use the text tool to create a new layer using the color, font, and other attributes you want for your watermark, then set the layer transparency to achieve the desired effect.
