A complete newbie in both photography and Photoshop.

I'm making a photo story book with a "Boston and I" theme for a photography short course that I'm taking. That being said, I avoid too many touristy pictures (although some of them are :D)

C & C are very much appreciated! :)

Here are some of them that I thought were decent...

I'm worried about the color

My equipment:
Canon XSi/450D
Canon Kit lens 18-55 mm
Canon 50 mm f/1.8
Sigma 18-125 mm DC OS (can't ever remember the full lens spec)

Thanks in advance!

I'm a beginner too and don't know much but I think the top two are fine. The color gives it a pretty unique appearance... The rest are awesome too!

#3 is the best of the lot( to me)....love the destaurated colors...very city like.

#1,2.For me, I would rather see complete B&W conversion instead of the tint you haver given them? Just a preference for me.

Not ever having been in Boston.the last one wouldn't show me Boston, would it?

you're a great friend, but if Zombies chase us, I am tripping you.

oozma, thank you :)

Flo, yeah I put a tint to it. I tried only B&W, and I can't make it look not-flat. Maybe should try harder :D.

On the last one, I agree, doesn't depict Boston so much to me either. It's just an image of ceiling from a restaurant/lounge (in Boston South End) I went to the other day. I kinda like the place, and kinda like how the image turned out. Maybe not to be put in this series. Thanks for your feedback!
