Just ordered my 430ex from ebay with the 30% discount!
Looking forward to learning some flash photography!

So far my gear list is as follow:

Rebel XTI
Tamron 17-50 f2.8 XR LD IR
Hoya Circular Polarizing Filter

Any tips on learning flash photography?
I will mostly use it to shoot Yachts as im a Yacht Broker
but I want to use it for other things as well like indoor/night photography

LOL, i was going to recommend that same post as a flash primer. everyone should read it. i guess the most important lesson i learned was that the flash has an independent meter reading than your camera (unless you're shooting with the Mark II 1DS). Even if you meter your scene correctly for black tuxedos, for example, your flash will overexpose them by 2 stops unless you dial it down, etc. anyway, read the blog; it's excellent.

Don't buy it, make it. They are about $0.50 each to make. At that price you can make 20 different ones for the cost of shipping and determine which is best for you.

Have fun,
