Hello all,

I'm on the hunt for a camera bag that kids will be happy to have, but I won't feel like I spent $$$ on a $0.02 item just because it has a picture of Hanna Montana on it.

I am giving my stepdaughter, nieces, and nephews Canon A570IS cameras for Christmas this year. They are small enough to carry, have a grip that is easy for small hands to handle, has IS and some manual controls, and I found them on clearance at Sears for $63. I'd like to give them camera cases to go with the camera because if I don't, they (or their parents) may not buy one, and while it is a nice camera, it definitely isn't as well built as more expensive cameras. :(

Most of the camera bag reviews I've found are for DSLRS, so frankly, they may not appeal to children. The kids range from 7 to 11 years old. Any suggestions? Thank you!

When I ordered my Kata bags from an online photo bag store about three years ago, I got these Crumpler bags for free. While you won't get these for free anymore, I thought you might want to get these for the kids as I think they'll love it. I gave them to my boys for their small p&s cameras:

I lucked out and found these Mountainsmith camera bags at REI Outlet.

I ordered the powder blue ones. They're cute and fit the camera perfectly. Plus they were $8.

I would have loved to give them Crumpler bags, but the Mountainsmith ones seem to be fine. I'm a Crumpler fan myself. :)

Thanks!

I was at a local REI about a week ago, and I didn't see these. Hey, these are better looking than the Crumpler and cheaper. You did very good. I'd say it's a perfect gift for young kids needing a camera bag. :)
