I lost the lens hood (ET-83 II) for my 70-200 L lens today. I see Adorama has a "replacement" lens hood: http://www.adorama.com/CAET83B2.html
.
Does anyone know if this will be just like the one that came with the lens?
Nic

Get most of mine from Heavy Star on eBay. The bayonet hoods on L lenses like the 70-200 are FAR SUPERIOR for mechanical protection than screw-in hoods. Why? It's because any impact forces to the bayonet hood mount are applied to the non-moving shell of the lens and not to any of the delicate mechanics of the zoom lens assembly as they would be with a screw-in hood.
