As I walked down Main Street in Biddeford, Maine, I was presented with a cool editorial opportunity. This abandoned mill is just off of main street. I forgot to set the white balance before the picture. Any feedback on how to correct the color in Photoshop (or if you feel it's better as is) would be appreciated.

I had attached the picture, but for some reason it didn't display. When I clicked edit, there were the IMG brackets along with the url. BTW, my last name is Murphy, so go figure:|!

Ok, I can see it now. Interesting subject, definitely has a lot of potential. Others could probably answer more authoritatively, but I'd start by bumping up the colour temp and see how it looks. You might want to add some fill light too. Depending on distance, it might have helped if you'd shot it with some flash fill.

I made color cast adjustment in PSE6. Just select the "remove color cast" tool and with the eyedropper click around on what you think should be white or grey until the color looks right. What Photoshop software do you have?

You don't have Image Editing OK set, so if you want me to remove this I will but I wanted you to see the difference.

looks quite a bit better Eagle. I run PS7, but I'm still a noob at it and I havven't taken any classes. Thanks for the feedback and the CC. Where would I find the "remove color cast" tool on PS7?

I don't have PS7 but it won't have the color cast tool. You'll probably have to go to Image, the adjustments, then play with the different color tool sliders, or a curves tool. If it has an auto color tool give that a try. Maybe someone with PS7 can jump in and help.
