This is pretty much straight out of the camera. Any comment and critique would be great.

Adjust the White balance,use foliage as the reference for white, around 2000K, remove the quite notable lens flare and it will improve a lot!

Are you using a minolta? Hard to tell if that's a lens flare or the infamous spot created when shooting IR with some minolta models.

That's not a minolta I can assure you, It's a hot spot created due to the reflection between lens and IRfilter(the one on the sensor keeping it from sensing IR). some lenses do this, like the the crappy 18-55mm lens I used.
