Tonight I got to take pictures for a local mood disorders group - a comedy night to raise funds. There was one musical act called Prairie Jewel and they were fantastic! I have 3 pictures, the last taken of the host throwing tshirts into the crowd, and the others feature 2 of the 3 band members. More to come. C&C please.

The band has only been together since last year, but you would swear they've been playing together since they were kids. They have great songs, beautiful voices, and tremendous stage presence. LOVED EM!
If you like folk alternative music, definitely check them out

good shots, though photo 1 is kind of dull (<- could've been a posed studio shot). 2 feels very playful and 3 looks cool as well.

keep it up!

Do you mean dull as in contrast, or just the pose?

I like #2, 3 and 4. #1 is a bit "dull" as said (in pose). Also, the mic stand is in the way..

Ah, ok, thanks Rene! That's my fault. I have lots more pictures of the band showing more emotion. That was just the first image I edited.
I was so busy going from backstage to front, and back, I missed a lot of great photo opportunities.

Anybody in the Ottawa area should check them out... they are currently on the road to play a few shows there.
