You can only post 8 images in a thread, in which you start.

Otherwise, what were your shutter speeds. As it seems, many are blurry or out of focus.

Nice shots. I had to change all after the first 8 to links as POTN restricts you to 8 images per thread. Referring people to your own gallery for more is always appropriate.

the shutter speed varies from pic to pic, it was so far away i had to alot of cropping and zoom for that reason i think that y it has some blur to it, i used a canon 70-200L IS with a 1.4x extander, any suggetion i can take better pic next time?

More reach will help also, or try to get as close as possible .

A little L goes a long way.

As Andrew stated perfectly. You need more reach. Next year, either rent a 100-400 or a 500/4 IS, if you can afford either of those two. Otherwise, Sigma, has several options, however, I do not have any experience with their glass.

Here are a couple of options:

A) For something along the lines of an Airshow, over the Bay, you need as much reach, as you can get.

OR

B) Get yourself, right under the flight lines', so you don't need that long & far reach. Although, the 100-400, is the Airshow lens, in many shooters opinions'.

To work on technique, head to your nearest airstrip, and practice shooting aircraft, with the tips below & within the site.

Another piece of information: when it comes to shooting prop driven aircraft with variable pitch rotors; learn to slow your shutter, so you get prop blur. Whereas, shooting a fast shutter speed all the time, is going to give you stopped props in mid-air, which does not convey motion. Search the forum, for hints' on shooting aircraft. There are many shooters on here, that shoot Aircraft. Andrew Huxman is one of them, and an excellent shooter at that, plus he has a friendly personality to go along with those skills. ;)

Lastly, check out the Mustang Air to Air thread Here (external link) on Fred Miranda. It is sort of a gathering of many shooters to post images or learn, that shoot a wide variety of aircraft. Some of them are members' here on POTN also.

I am running the 70-200L with 2X TC. Its good enough for now but I will eventually pick up the 100-400L for airshows. Next year try and camp out by Marina Green.
