Sorry to hear of your loss Jake, what a wonderful companion she's been and such a great life you provided her and her sister.

I have never met Roo and I teared up reading that...

Very sorry for your loss, some people think pets are just animals, but to many of us they are our closest friends and family...

Nothing can be purer than the love from a dog. Your wish is their own and they are happiest by your side.

Sorry about your loss.

Jake, Thank you for sharing this with us. I never met Roo, but I know you were both blessed by coming together.

I hope the great memories of your many years together will help make this time a little more bearable. I lost my golden, Turner, 20 months ago and I still have rough days occasionally. Like you, I know he is no longer in pain and am so relieved in that knowledge. I hope you are too.

Take care my friend.

Wow, I really hope that what's written about me when I pass is half as moving and heartfelt as that. I think it says something that we can all picture Roo and what she meant to you by reading that.

I don't know about people heaven, but there sure is a dog heaven, and she's there. :)

Sorry to hear CDS. When you have a pet for that long, it definitely is family.

Aww, I'm really sorry to hear that, Jake! :( I've been there myself, and I'm not looking forward to the next time.

She sure did have a long life, though.

I'm so sorry to hear this, Jake. I hope you can take comfort in the memories of the wonderful life Roo had and all the lives she touched.

There is nothing so special as a good dog - and you had two of them. I know how hard it is to lose a much-loved pet of so many years, but I hope that your memories of her long life with you will be of better times than the final moments.

Those that we have loved are always with us, and when the time comes there will be another furry face to take a place in your heart and home.

All the best.

Sorry to hear of your loss, but I'm glad to hear Bumpus will get her playmate back.

I don't remember how, but I'd been searching for something else a couple weeks back and had stumbled into Bumpus' goodbye thread. You've certainly had some great companions.

And I will too, send my condolences on with the passing of Roo as well. You've had two fantastic dogs from what I can see Jake. I am glad they're back together - living pain and age free. I dont know that I have ever heard of a dog living this long - truly amazing.

Oh no :(. Sorry to hear that Jake. It's heartening to know that he lived to a ripe old age though.

I'm so very sorry to read this. My sincerest condolences. I lost my best friend of 12 years, Cara, just this past June. It leaves a hole in ya...we have our Zelda now, but the hole remains. She just made my heart bigger instead of filling the hole. KWIM?

I hope you find another lucky pup to cherish. I know when you do, it will be a special one.

God bless and lotsa hugs.
