In the spirit of sharing a few shots instead of being an eternal keyboard warrior, here's a few shots from a shoot last week with a new model. She shows great promise actually, and I'm hoping good things come our way, as she's on a similar wavelength when it comes to making pictures and other creative stuff.

Comments if you like.

Love those Dave.

I love the way you have added different types of photos there.

Absolutley love 3.

In 1., I don't like the hand chopped... but you knew I was going to day that anyway ... But at least I was first!

2 is nice
3. Rocks.
4. Is cool, maybe a little datk. (Cool as in I like it)
5. Works artistically
6. Is one I would throw away. I like your articstic touch there.
7. Seems cool... but somehow dowsn't do it for me. I think maybe it is the colour of her dress doesn't fit in with the pool... Not sure
8. Rocks also. Cool idea and great use of what was there.

4,5,6 & 8 here. 8 might have looked better with less dof so the door and foreground wasn't so prominent, it would have isolate here a lt more

Cheers guys. Interesting you both picked out #3 as the strong image. And thanks for the comments etc, I secretly have quite a soft spot for image #6, the blurry one. :)

Yeah it's PS. Basic stuff really. Convert to greyscale, bit of curves and some quick burning in. (About 2mins) and add in some noise = done. Thanks for the kind words.

You reckon? I was sat there at the time wondering about it, whether to go narrow DOF or not, and I plumped for the big f numbers, even though it made for a 4 sec exposure. Wasn't sure the fluffy bokeh effect would look as hard and brittle as the setting was, but being honest I am still a bit undecided. Can always go back and shoot again if need be... :)

Cheers, Dave.

My favorites are 5, 7 and 8...with 8 probably being my favorite.

I'm actually not a fan of #3. It's well executed from a purely photographic standpoint, but I think she looks somewhat bored, and not the 'pondering' that I think you were going for. Doesn't do anything for me.

Nice shots, Dave, I like the blurry ones actually :) Number two is great but perhaps clone out the funny blobs in the top left.
