Hi POTN, I was wondering if I could pick the minds of the technology minded folk out there - I'm doing a post-grad Media Technology BSc course and I need to get started on my dissertation. Since I'm interested in digital photography I wanted to know if there is any topics i could question/argue/debate in relation to the subject...focusing on the technology side of things. But since I recently got in to photography I'm not totally clued up.

Even any other suggestions relating to other area of media technology are welcomed! Digital cinema? Data storage?

Finding it hard to come up with something innovative, on a good topic or emerging technologies.

Any suggestions are well appreciated. :o

Thanks for replying xarqi - Interesting that one, i was reading a few comments earlier today how the in-body IS with the Sony camera's is very effective.

But I don't know If i can cover a 8000 word paper on it.

Use lots of adjectives! ;)

I like this idea - contributed with recent SLR cameras which offer video capture?

It was posted some time back on whether it was ethical/copyright infringement to restore pictures taken by someone who is now dead (at least, that was what I got from reading the post).

Another hot-button issue I've picked up on from reading this forum is copyrights/image ownership when the image is stored on a public photo sharing site like Flikr. This post (https://photography-on-the.net …529244&highlight=heineken) may not may not be totally along those lines, but (in my opinion) is also a good read for ideas.

Hope that helps!

Hi wyntrsnyte, thanks for the reply. This is quite interesting actually, and would have a lot to debate over. But I'm not sure if it would be the best choice for this paper, as I really have to focus on the actual technology behind it so much - But! I'm gonna read through thoose posts, thanks for the links. :D
