Weight isnt really a concern because price is. Im 6ft tall so i need to take that into consideration. what tripods and heads would you recommend?

This is probably a common question but i am thankful for your responses.

What sort of budget are you looking at? The Manfrotto 055xProB+488RC2 head is a very popular and versatile combination.

I was going to ask the same and suggest the same. That combo is around $300. Is that too much OP?

it isnt really the price as long as its justifiable. Obviously I dont think I will need a $1000 plus setup. But I also dont want to buy a setup where i will just have to buy again later down the road.

The aforementioned setup is capable of handling quite a bit - everyone I know of who has that setup has been more than happy with it and haven't expressed the desire to upgrade unless it was to get a much lighter CF tripod, cost ~$1k.

essentially the upgrade would be the setup being lighter rather than any other significant advantage?
