GO PHILLIES!!!!

Seriously, if you've never been to the "Camera Shop", it's worth a trip. They let you try any lens out and have a great selection of bags/accessories (much more than the Ritz stores at the mall) They have a nice used 50L for ~$1K (I think that's a good price?)

When I bought my Xsi last week, I tried out the 24-70L for the first time (man, that's a big lens!)

I second the Lowepro 300. Not only will it fit with a grip, it will fit with grip and 100-400 attached and still have room for 4~5 lenses and two flashes.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

what all are you planning to carry? Look in my gear link and thats everything I carry in my tamrac expedition 7x.. but that 200+ dollars, look at the 5x if you have alittle less gear.... its much cheaper and right around that price range.. i love my tamrac

I pretty much can fit everything (except my new Xsi) into my Mini trekker, but it gets tight with both Ls. I only take the backpack when I'm bringing the 100-400L. Otherwise, I use my Crumpler, which fits everything (except the 100-400) including my new Xsi (although I couldn't figure out for the life of me how to get that packed WITH a lens mounted.....)

Check out this link on camera bags. I think you'll find what you're looking for here:

https://photography-on-the.net …?p=6017011&postcount=1605

By the way, I replaced my Slingshot 300 AW with a Fastpack 350 and I'm pleased with my decision. Now, I have two straps over my shoulders which balances the weight on my back. I can carry my backpack for long periods of time without any discomfort. Although the Slingshot was a great bag, I could never get used to the "imbalance" of having only one shoulder strap.

I hope the thread helps. Best of luck to you!

Are you talking about The Camera Shop in Bryn Mawr?
If so that is where I bought my 40D and many lenses. It's a great privately owned shop. Best of all you can always go in there and talk baseball.
Speaking of baseball, our Fightin' Phil's start the World Series Wednesday night.

The Boston/Tampa series was dynamite.

I am calling it Phillies in 5. Win tonight, lose on thurs. win the next three. The TB Rays are only about hitting, there starting rotation is just ok. They talk about david price being this amazing great pitcher yet he has only pitched in one post season game, yes it was an important game and he did pitch well. but against the philies he has another thing coming. Our bullpen (i cant believe that i am saying this) is the best in the league, era wise, and lidge should win a cy young for his performance this year. Our late inning hitting is epic in close games and while howard and rollins may not be hitting like they did in the end of the regular season, our middle and end of the lineup has stepped up huge. so i will say it again Phillies in 5.

WORD.

I have the Lowpro Mini Trekker also and it does fit a 40D w/grip.

I borrowed the grip and didn't think to take a pic of it in the bag. But I did have my 40D/grip and the 70-200 2.8IS attached in the bag. Here is a pic without the grip for reference.

Check out the Kata 3N1 series. It comes in a small, medium, and large. It's a backback that can be worn sling style, AND you can access the camera from either side, unlike the Lowepro Slingback which only has zippers on one side.

I have the medium and am very happy with it.

I like my Dakine Mission Photo, since you know it doesn't look like a Camera bag.. but I don't really know the sizes of the lenses you have..

But overall good build quality, straps for tripod carrying, Deployable rain cover (can't have a tripod on the back), its got a case in a bag setup, so you could carry the camera portion as a shoulder bag seperately and put other stuff in the backpack.. I've never done this but its possible.

Plus, it doesn't look like a camera bag, did I mention that? ;)
