I just received my new Elinchroms and took two quick shots in my living room. It was hard to get my dog (Molly) to sit still ;) I love the way the light wraps. Anyway - there is a note in the user manual that says these lights are not designed for outdoor use and not to use them when there is a sudden temperature change that might cause condensation.

I plan to use these lights for team and individual photos at our outdoor ice rink. Does anyone know if they can be used outdoors in cold temperatures - with care for temperature changes so that condensation doesn't build up - without causing damage to the lights?

Thanks!

Yeah, just let them sit for a bit to adjust to the temperature.

Thanks for the info. Secure will be a challenge with twenty hockey players skating around ;)
