I have close up diopter lenses that are 52mm size that I used with my old camera and I want to know if there are step up/down rings out there that I can 'step down' from 58mm to 52mm.

For example, I use a 58mm CPL with my 30mm/1.4 which has a 62mm thread with no vignetting problems. 7D | 350D | Speedlite 430EX

Headcase650 Goldmember  1,632 posts Joined Jun 2004 More info | Oct 21, 2008 18:03 | #3 When using a crop camera with an EF lens you can usually get away with stepping down a couple filter sizes but with an EF-S crop only lens you will probably get some vignetting wide open. It may go away when you stop the lens down but no guaranties. Just take the camera and lens into the camera store and try it out with a step down ring. 60D, Canon 18-135 IS, Sigma 10-20 hsm, 24-70 2.8 hsm, 70-200 2.8 hsm, 430EX II, and all the other stuff that goes along with it.
