Kids and Family Book Submissions

Hello all.

I just wanted to drop a note to remind all of you that the third volume of the great POTN Book has already begun. We are currently accepting submissions through November 17th. We would like to see the Kid and Family share increase their interest in this year's book. We had some wonderful images last year and we are excited to see what is in store for this year. If you are not familiar with the book you can go here to see the images that compiled Volume I and here to see images from Volume II. If you would like to buy a copy see this thread. I don't see anywhere to look at the actual images that were used in the other books? I can click to look at the book on blurb, but all I get is the cover?

FYI you can see some great sample submissions to Book 3 here. These images will change periodically so check back.

You can submit any photo in one of the share categories that meets the theme of the share. If you want to submit to Kids and Family thn it should related to kids and family. There is no qulaity check except as the FAQ's indicate for size and some technical details -- it won't be rejected unless it would not look good in the book in printed form. If that occurs you would be notified and you can resubmit. Your image will be voted on by the POTN members and then the Committee and the final choices appear in the book. We are getting a good showing of images for the POTN book volume 3. I hope many more of you are considering submitting one of your images. This share has an amazing collection of superb images. I keep looking for something, but I can't think of captions and descriptions for anything I like. Isn't that sad? That's the only reason I haven't submitted a photo yet.

I have the same issues with mine - you never know what to say. However, the descritpion can be brief. the intent is to gives people some of the "story" behind the photo . You certainly have lots of choices based on your very nice website. Dennis

Thanks to all that submitted to Volume 3. We are pleased to say that there are some great work that has been submitted this year. You guys & gals are going to have a had time choosing. We hope to have the polls up around the first of December. We will post links to the polls here as soon as they are up. Good luck to you all.
