Moving to CS4--A question

I have a licensed copy of CS3, installed on a work and a home computer, as permitted by the license. I am getting a licensed copy of CS4 (a full copy, not an upgrade), and want to install it on these two computers, and then install CS3 on a laptop. I know how to deactivate CS3 so it can be installed on the laptop, but I was wondering if all of the keywords and metadata that I have attached to photos will still be there when I install CS4. I assume that it will, since Lightroom sees all of that info, but has anyone done this sort of thing? I would like to be certain. Thanks.

They should be. They always have been whenever I have done previous upgrades. The things like your keywords are attached to your images and not the version of photoshop that you happen to be running.

That's wat I assumed, but since I am going to be uninstalling CS3 (which removes all traces of the software) rather than upgrading, I wanted to be sure. I know that I will probably have to open every folder that has photos in order to re-build the database of keywords.

Install on the new computer first then copy across an image. Then check if the data is still there.

Thanks, but I am not installing on a new computer. I am replacing CS3 with CS4 on the same computers.
