I already posted this picture on the Family and Kids board but I would really like C+C on it.

I like it but I want it to be as good as possible and if I can improve on it I would love to learn. I have a hard with overlooking stuff on my own photos.

Is that a rash on his forhead? I'd clean that up some.

How would a 90 degree, counterclockwise rotation look?

The image is overexposed. If you shot in RAW, much of the lost highlight detail can be recovered.

The contrast is much too high. Look at the histogram and you will see that there is almost no portion of the image with mid-tones - only deep shadows and washed out whites. This can be caused by harsh light, such as a naked bulb or direct sunlight or flash. For such a shot you want diffuse light.

I have a sneaking suspicion that this was shot with flash, close up.

I couldn't do much with it using Shadows/Highlights, because it wants to become posterized.

It's a birthmark, I'll have to clean that up when he takes a nap lol

I tried that, I think it looked a bit odd, maybe cause he was laying down when I took the picture?

I overexposed it during PP, Here's a fixed version
