hey gang, here is one of my first HDR attempts with photomatix.
file size limitations doesn't do it justice.

In the Tone Mapping Panel, top half, Light Smoothing, those 5 radio buttons, go further, or all the way to the right side, #4 or 5, and the halo should go away.
