So I just picked up an XSi w/ the 18-55 IS kit lens and the 55-250 IS. Have had it for an hour and I already love it.

I love the slightly larger size and the rubberish material on the grip instead of all plastic. I have no idea how good the pics will look but I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt. Can't wait to get something worthwhile to shoot at this weekend. :)

The first thing I took a picture of was my Rebel XT which will now be posted in the for sale section. lol

Thanks! But isn't the 55-250 enough zoom for now? ;) lol

Just a thought: do you want to keep your XT as a backup / second body? I recently upgraded from the XT to 50D, and I've been leaving a lens attached to the XT at times so I don't have to change lenses. It was pretty handy this past weekend at a car race, rather than having to constantly change lenses.

I would like to be able to do that but the cost gets in the way. Being a University student it was hard enough to justify the new equipement in the first place, let alone keeping the old stuff too. I do feel pretty cool with my desk FILLED with camera's and lenses. (small desk, lol)
