This is a common problem. Adobe gets to the point that newer cameras are not placed in the ACR versions in older CS version such as CS2. Your options are to upgrade to the new CS version or convert to DNG. Personally I convert to DNG as I work in Lightroom and don't like the sidecar files working in CR2 creates.
