Sorry if this has been posted before (a search did not find the link), but I only found this tutorial from Canon today, and with the number of comments I read about soft image files from today's DSLRs (especially the 40D, which actually is just fine) I thought it would be worth posting....

There is also a reminder that it is not just raw files that need sharpening but any file that is downsized for use on the web.

Interesting video. I hadn't seen this before. It's pretty much what I do now but there are a few different techniques I'd like to try.


Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.
