Have any of you tried to capture Comet Machholz on your CCD's? Once my skies clear up locally I'm going to make some experiments. I used to shoot deep sky objects using a telescope for both piggy back and prime focus shots but that was film and almost 20 years ago. I've never tried using a digital camera for space shots. Not sure that ISO 400 for 15 seconds is going to produce what I want. But I thought I might be able to stack multiple exposures to acheive some good results. So...has anyone tried this out? Any advice for a digital newbie on capturing space scenes?
