is there any diffrence between these units apart from price as i cant make my mind up they both get good reports.

the sigma piece is not 100% tested and qualified to work on the canon dslr bodies... other then that, you should have no problem

Works fine on my 20D but i only used it like 3 times along time ago before upgrading to a canon. Mainly because im a brand/quality guy so i dont trust many brands unless there canon, and some tamron.
