Ok, I just went through 20 pages of the "Show off your bag" thread and all I learned is that the money I have spent is a drop in the bucket. :)

I need a bag which will allow me to carry my XSi, 18-55 IS, 55-250 IS and eventually a hood and 50mm 1.8.

I want it to be a shoulder bag, not a backpack. I want it to be as low profile as possible so when I have it at my hip it doesn't stick out from my body too much.

I liked the look of the Crumpler 5MDH but I am not sure if it will fit my equipement.

Thanks

Go to a camera store ,if one is near. See for your self. It's hard some times looking at a site picture to see if the bags is right for you.

Be sure to check out the camera reviews.

This one is small.
Also not too big.
Another small one.

With that amount of equipment, for me is easy, I'd use my Lowepro Reporter 300 or smaller (200, 100, etc).

Well today I picked up the Crumpler 6MDH used but mint for $80. (stuff is more $$$ in Canada)

I am very happy with the bag but it is a bit big for my current gear. I knew this going in and I'm glad I have the room to expand for another lense and a flash. If you have the same amount of gear as I do currently and do not plan on expanding, the 5MDH is probably a better choice. Hope this helps.

Im also looking for a bag. Im looking for something that i can use to carry school supplies(1 notebook, pens, calculator) and my 5d+1 lens. Maybe one flash. I dont want it to be too feminine looking, or bulky. Preferable solid black

Heres about what im looking for minus the leather and brown. On the far right:

all your stuff will fit a 5MDH. my wife had one, she can fit an XTi with 18-55 IS mounted, 430EX, another small zoom or prime, batteries, CF cards, cleaning stuff.

Check out the Domke satchels. An F-802 will do fine; an F-804 will hold a bunch more than that, too. Straight canvas; I prefer sand, but they all come in black as well.
