I just spent 2 hours trying to get a fruit fly in flight and only ended up with bites from other insects I didn't see. The fruit flies here are so fast that when you snap the shot they are already in flight but always out of focus so far. Maybe after 100,000 shots I could be as lucky. Cheers.

Sitandwatch, I was using a Canon 100 mm macro lens with a Canon 300d Rebel.

I see that the exif info is not there. I believe I did not export from Adobe light correctly. Settings were Iso 400, f/2.8 @ 1/4000 shutter speed.
