Weather fail. Well the model's only here for a few days so there's only one opportunity to shoot this anyway. PM coming. I could still use one more assistant maybe.

I'm in. I'm off work (vacation) and would love to help out.

PM me the details if ya need me :D

Thanks Rafael....i know what you mean but i saw this style in a magazine at Perry's house and decided to try it, and it came out to be one of my favourite pics. But yeah just a little bit too much nostrils :)

^ Hey if it looks good, it works. Rules (at least photographic ones) are made to be broken.

I agree with you Perry :) however the editors at fashion magazines follow the basic rules like it was the Bible :(

Nowadays I shoot Nikon, but deep inside I am still a Canon lover... plus Nikonians don't have a cool place to hang like POTN :)

^ I dunno what magazines you shoot for man because I've found the exact opposite to be the case, and I talked to a bunch of photographers at Fashion Week who feel the same way - they just don't understand the calls their editors make on which photos to run sometimes. The only rule that I've seen held universally is "leave space for cropping and text". Editors make no sense .

Rules? The only rule in photography is there are no rules, get the money shot and go

In other news, I'm down another event... Ducatti pulled out of Canadian Thunder in the Parts Canada Superbike championship so Buell said they'd be leaving as well. They salvaged it slightly with Buell and BMW able to participate in the Sport Bike 600cc class with a boatload of restrictions.

Boy there's going to be a ****load of repeat in my motorsports portfolio this year with the lack of content... grrrr.

Maybe it's time to build Thunderbunny...

This is "Thunderbunny". It's an internal VW project people started designing after they announced the new Rabbit and us tech geeks realized the 2.5L had some pretty awesome potential. It's a VW Rabbit with the TDI Cup series front end, GTI R32 rear valance, GTI side skirts and a turbocharged 2.5L motor that makes about 235hp and 305lb-ft of torque at minimal boost (torque is high because the engine is a 5cyl Audi design and not your typical V6).

What bodies do you use? I wasn't a fan of the 35mm focal length on the full frame, and I'd go with the 24L or 16-35 myself.

Today I'll be leaving the office at around 5pm and be home by no later than 5:30pm but Jill is done class at 2pm and will be home before 3pm if you wanted to swing by the condo and pick it up.

Tomorrow is the same old, I'm in the office until 5pm but I can always bring the lens with me if you wanted to meet me here at my office and do the exchange. I'm flexible either way :)

Evenings are open today and tomorrow as well.

35mm on the Mk3 is beautiful man :) Jill bought me mine for christmas and I love it. It definitely won't be considered wide as it'll be pushing 50mm but you could always mount a Tokina 11-16 on your Mk3 for WA stuff ;)
