Only 84 more posts to go. I think I'll wait it out. Oh wait, 83 after this one!

About the zoo... seems most people are busy this weekend. Next weekend would actually be better for me as well (at least Saturday, anyway).

I asked for early access last year and never got a reply from the Mod, so I had to wait until I had 500 posts last Nov :) ... Thanks for the comments guys, I really wanted to give the picture a vampiresque look to it (maybe it has to do I went to watch Underworld on the weekend..hehehe), and I thought I would have some fun doing the composite and trying a different P&P for that one. #2 has a Rock feel to it, which is what we wanted to accomplish. Anyways, back to editing some more..

Great shots, Rafael. I like the crop on #2 the best, but my fav is the composite. That rocks. You're shots just keep getting better and better.

My guess is that there were issues in the past. Maybe too many 'hot model' comments rather that shot critique?

Thanks Julian, I been shooting and PP like a maniac for the last 2 months, so I hope I am improving :) .. I am also refining my PP workflow to be able to edit pictures faster, and I think I am into something the #2 pic took me 20 mins to post-process (with my abbreviated new workflow), while the #1 took me close to 1 hour using my conventional workflow, at small size for web usage I feel I am wasting my time going super detailed on healing brush and fixing small patches of colour shifts. I will leave that out of the workflow unless I want a big print out of the image. Another thing I have changed recently is doing all the PP in a non-destructive way; before I used to do the healing and skin softening directly on the pic, now I am doing it in a separate layer. So I am reducing my time while increasing the size of my files going from 7 to 10 layers to about 12 to 15 layers now; bigger files but I can always revert changes as I please. Also I am doing as much as I can in Lightroom instead of Photoshop to accelerate the PP (colour, WB, exposure, Sharpening, CA, etc..)

Yes. Too much "I'd hit that". G&N privileges can be revoked too if you make those kind of comments (or in some cases, a ban).

So I had a few minutes today to play with the 85 1.2 in natural light. I'm in love with this lens. I still have to get used to it, but here's a quick shot I took handheld:

My focus point was her left eye at 1.2. You can see a higher res version of the photo on my flickr if you're interested. Let me know if you'd like to see the full res version though because that's only available to friends.
