Doorhof is a god...I've admired his work for years. He's on POTN hahaha but when he posts it's just like, game over, clear the water, master entering the pool.

Oh no, I'm not falling for that again! It's a brand new morning and I've yet to take any Nyquil!

Hey Perry, I just read you sent your new 50mm out to service. I hope nothing is too amiss.

I haven't sent it out yet. It's doing pretty well, nothing too serious, but there are some front focusing issues in servo and it's a bit too soft wide open for my liking. I'm just gonna send it in for a tweaking - if they get this lens working the way it should it's gonna be AWESOME. As it stands it's already really nice.

The really depressing thing is, I'm not sure if this performance counts as 'within spec' or not. It's not terrible, so this could just be typical of this lens, or typical Sigma QC...

this is why I refuse to post anything useful on the other site. Never seen a bigger group of nitpickers than the ppl at tpmg.

LOL I think I know what you are referring to, but I'm not 100% sure. Do you mean the 50L thing?

:lol: Well I speak my mind and I speak the truth (or at least I try :p). If that gets me banned from TPMG, oh well, this place is way better.

if anyone know of a place where i can get some variable friction arms + super clamps for a reasonable price (ie not vistek pricing), that'd be great help :)

thanks.
