Really Right Stuff has the new L Plate for an ungripped Canon 5D Mark II on their website to pre-order... LINK (external link)

For those out there like me who have pre-ordered the 5D Mark II already and use the RRS system, are you going to be pre-ordering the new L Plate?

Well, Im selling my 5D and 40D and some accessories to pay for it. I already have too much invested in photography equipment and for someone who does it just for fun as a hobby I know when I have to quit or at least slow it down. So really Im just going to be "trading" my 5D and 40D for the 5D Mark II.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I'm wondering if you ever bought the L plate for the 5D Mark II battery grip.

Ben,

They're in stock. I got one three weeks ago. Superb craftsmanship.
