Convetion Costume Photos

Over the weekend, I attended the Katsucon 11 convention. Katsucon is a gathering of fans celebrating Japane animation and comics, as well Japanese culture. I mostly just go for the really cool costumes and talents displayed by the performers on stage.

Canon 300D - Canon 70-300mm f/4 - Tripod
Lower light pictures used between 1/30 and 1/60 shutter. For when the stage was actually lit up bright, 1/100 to 1/200. Shot with mostly 1600 ISO, some 800. You can see very little noise in the higher resolution/quality photos. F/4 aperture. No flash.(Prohibited)
I know the files are horribly reduced for web comsumption, I have to save bandwidth. I am more interested in critique on the setup of the shots since I was constantly changing settings rather fast. I am very happy with the shots!

Great work,. considering the lighting you managed to do a very good job
Your nect lens should be an 85mm f/1.8 which will help in these situations (though you'll need to get a little closer)

I've been peripheraly aware of the "cosplay scene" for some time,. but never known anyone invloved in it. Looks like you have a good time
