Haven't posted in a while since I really hadn't had much different to share. In this case, the 50D is the new twist, so I thought would toss a few up. Shot mostly during a down poor with my .15 cent weather proofing system.

Wow! Some terrific shots here! My favorite is the first one though.

Thanks, Paul

Nice shots - I love the water coming of the carpet...
How was the 50D for this? Do you enjoy it as a sports camera?
Also, some of the faces seem soft - were you using center point AF most/all of the time?
How quick is the AF?

Keltab, 50D seems to be working just fine, AF and all. The softness probably is from water on the lens - it was pouring cats and dogs - and I tried to keep the lens clear but wasn't always successful. I also haven't done any post work on these as my workflow doesn't allow for it - so these have not been resharpened after reduction. For what it is worth it - but yes, I saw that too. I chalked it up to the conditions.

Thanks Foxshots for commenting.

Hey Ferry101.... this wouldn't happen to be her would it?

Great shots for the tough weather conditions. I really like how visible the pouring rain in several of the shots. Looks like tough playing conditions.

Virtually every picture I have ever shot of field hockey has the girls with their mouth guards have out or their mouths. Nice shots.

Mark,

Any chance you shot the Maryland vs Wake championship game? I watched the game on TV and saw a single photog with some large glass on the sideline.
