I'm sure there will be ample for the skiers too....let's just not rush the season. I'd like another September - early October. I got my first sub-$200 electric bill...that was a treat.

Here in Swannanoa there is still a 1/2" of snow on cars that didn't move and on my roof at home.
Must of been a inch deep before it started melting after lunch.
That wind is mean. Brrrrr.:o

I'm not Dan but we've got two (and a 580ex) and except for some extra bells and whistles, my 430 works just as well as my 580.

I think I read that the 430 want turn 90. I just need a better flash than the XSi has on it.
Im just a hobbiest.

okay you guys remember Dan's shot yesterday of the giant waves and RSP?

(he said I could post this)

IMAGE: http://lcimages.zenfolio.com/img/v4/p864388557-4.jpg

well, here he and Tif are standing at the guard rail that the RSP decided to ignore...
IMAGE: http://lcimages.zenfolio.com/img/v4/p722643588-4.jpg

the waves are indeed over our heads and hit the area where that person stood
IMAGE: http://lcimages.zenfolio.com/img/v4/p1009608943-4.jpg

which brings me to my rainbow shots for this thread (finally)

I just got it out and it turns exactly the same ways my 580 does except that the 580 will point straight up and click one spot backwards and the 430 won't...but it does 90 clockwise and 180 to the counterclockwise.

I have a 420 and a 580....the 420 works great and the 430 just has a few additional bells and whistles. The 580 is overkill unless you are doing some heavy duty flash work.

thanks. It was so pretty and because I used a WA it looks further away from us than it was...that whole scene really can't be described well enough for reality.

we don't know who it was that actually was washed off. We did find out that it was (another iteration of this story I know...different from the local news and coast guard accounts but still a news story) an uncle and nephew who were climbing on the cliffs (don't know how high or anything). The nephew didn't make it and they never found the uncle.
