Speaking of going back to sleep around midnight, it's that time again. Night everyone.

Hey everyone.

Just checking in to see what's going on. We have 14 inches of snow on the ground here, most I think we've had in my life. Exciting stuff.

But I'm tired, so...

Goodnight everyone.

I would have to say this is the most snow I have seen at our house since the early/mid-90s...

Liked your lights shot -- We've picked up nearly 6" on top of the 4" that we had before today. We took the kids out sledding down the hill in our neighborhood, and by the time I came back in my hat had nearly 1" of snow on it.

So I spend a year in isolated duty, lots of snow....
Go to a boat out of Seattle that goes to the arctic, lots of snow....
Then I get back to a temperate climate, AND THE SNOW'S HERE!!!!

I'm totally with you on this whole 'snow' thing

SO - IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!!!

;)

The grounds of the museum are beautiful. They do lots of weddings there. Peacocks roam the grounds. The museum and stonehenge are close, but not right together.

Ever heard the expression, "Where in Sam Hill is it?" That's what it's referring to (no kidding). Sam Hill built the place for his wife Mary Hill.

I've been there once. I remember being pretty impressed, but we didn't spend a lot of time there. It was part of a whirlwind weekend tour of Washington for one of my Irish cousins. He couldn't believe that you could drive that much in one weekend and never leave the state. We covered a little over 1,000 miles, and hit something in all four corners of Washington. After that, he revised his plans for traveling the rest of the US during his visit.

Hi, Kevin.

'Night, Kevin.

Glad the winds don't seem to have hit their projected speeds (yet). That's quite a bit of snow for your part of "Northern Oregon." ;)

Snow Angels? Did someone say snow angels?

From yesterday -- I had to teach him to move his arms parallel to the ground, not perpendicular to the ground.

Hey David...we had some visitors with similar fantasies....they had a tour all mapped out...that would allow you to see Niagara Falls in the morning and the Empire State Building at noon...After the 5 hour drive from my house to the Falls, they decided that maybe it might be a bit more of a drive to get to NYC.

Mooooooooooorning Wool. We've got about a foot of snow on the ground, the temperature is 20 degrees and is not expected to get above freezing until Tuesday, and it's lightly raining. What are the chances of having uninterrupted electricity?

Me too. Are you set up to drive in this kind of weather? If so, will you please bring me a hot tripple decaf Americano in a 20 oz cup from Dutch Bros.?:D

Driving in Freezing Rain is only for fools. There's no traction device to counter it. I have 4 wheel drive with studs all around. I won't go out in it until it thaws.

Neither will I, so I guess it's home brewed for the duration.

The view today is limited to the strip of non-iced space under my porch.
