This is Oliver, my 6 month-old Grandson at his very first "real" photo-shoot.
We take dozens of photo's of him, but this is his first, what you might call, "official" one.

And what a smile! He giggles every time someone smiles at him! And, he has four teeth through - two of which are pretty obvious in the photo!

Taken on a platform, about 18" off the floor - covered in a faux-fur throw (ensures the camera is at the same level as he is - without me crawling on the floor!) .

The stand is on front of a Lastolite Hilite background - with a single flash head to camera right pointing inside the two layers, aimed towards the back layer, and a single softbox just above the camera approx 5-6 feet in front of him.

Hope I haven't taken the resolution down too much.

What a smile!!! Wouldn't it be great if ALL children smiled that easily?

Nice setup and excellent photo.

It does look a little soft at this resolution - it wasn't until I uploaded it and saw that the filesize is only 23Kb! Could well be the reason!

Thank you everyone for all your comments. :-)
