I was wondering which do you guys prefer?

I know Lowepro has thick paddings which is good. But it is also quite bulky and sometimes a hassle to bring already.

I read from Think Tank website that the paddings isnt very thick. Therefore it is less bulky and stuff. But my concern is, does it provide good protection for the lenses? And can it sustain light bangs and stuff like that?

I am actually looking for lens cases for my Canon 24-70 and 70-200 f4. Any advice and reviews would be fantastic.

Thank you! :D

I prefer the lowepro lens cases because they are compatible with the rest of my lowepro cases via the sliplock feature.

I see. Can lowepro lens cases fit onto think tank belt? and vice versa?

What do you think of the protection wise?

I have moved my stuff to thinktank.......I now purchase the skin pouches--because they pack up better than others.

i have a TT35 (and 75), the 35 works OK for the 24-70, the issue is if you want to insert the 24-70 with the hood attached, the length is fine but the mouth of the bag is a little tight, you can't stuff it in there you have to line it up.

There is no padding on the TT lens bags on the sides (well maybe a really thin layer), there is some on the bottom, not a lot but enough in my opinion. I can't comment on the lowepro ones.

just so you know i don't use them to carry stuff around, i shoot out of them, like on my belt, pulling lens in and out of it. of course they do hold my lens when i walk to/from my location but in this case there is less chance of them getting knocked around because it's on my back/sholder and not being moved around that much. that's why i think the padding is sufficient.

for electronic/camera protection, i always prefer thick padding over thin padding... more > less. it just ease my mind knowing that the item is wrapped in thick padding/cushions.
