A couple shots of my daughter taken at a competition this past Saturday, where she won 2 gold medals! :D

As far as photos go, crop tighter... much tighter. And one more suggestion. Try to shoot when she's more in middle of skating rink. This way background will be more blurred and less distracting. Otherwise they are nice photos.

I understand what you mean, and tighter cropping will work on some of the photos. Something like this?

Yup much better :) I would still crop it top, just under glass starts on "wall" behind. It would be less distracting. But otherwise, she pops much more out of photo this way, as she did in previous ones. Less distracting, more out of focus background helps too. For my taste, this last one is best of all.

Shutter: 1/500
ISO: 1600
Focal length: 200mm
A/F: One shot, center point.
