You've got some great shots there. Looks like some skilled pilots based on how low the hovers were being done. The photo of the pair of them hovering is my personal favourite.

Join a club, they have flying instructors to help prevent the early crashes. Many now use buddy box systems which lets an experienced pilot get it way up and out of harms way before you start flying, plus there are flight simulator programs for your computer too.

Plus, as a rookie, you don't start out with unlimited aerobatic aircraft like these...

Just like in full-scale flying, you start with docile trainer and learn in stages.

Whoa those stunt planes are big.

Me and my brother recently got in to RC planes, at the moment we only have 2 Kyosho Spree Sports, had a few test runs in the park next to where we live, but it's not big enough. Need to take it further away to a huge park for some real testing.

Might try taking some pics too in the future!

Are you members of the Academy of Model Aeronautics?

Might want to look into it as membership comes with liability insurance (just in case...)

Ever wonder what a five pound airplane can do to people or property when moving at speed...? It ain't pretty...

That's the truth. AMA or MAAC (or whatever the acronyn is is other countries around the world) is a must if you're going to fly in today's world. The financial risks without proper coverage just aren't worth it. The cost to join is minimal vs the risks.

Yep, we defo try to keep safety in mind, so far when ever we've flown its been at silly times in the morning (5am/6am etc) when we know our park will defo be deserted, which is pretty much empty all the time anyways.

we're in the UK, will need to research on any groups or academy's here, but the bigger park I mentioned before is a regular spot for RC planes, and glider enthusiasts, so I'll have a word with them before hand and see what I can find out.
