I am looking for a decent bag for a 40D with 18-55 EF-S and 70-300 lenses. Also have a Speedlite 420 that will need to fit. Any recommendations for a bag that's sturdy and allows you to change lenses without having to put the bag down? TIA.

KayakPhotos Goldmember More info | I like the lowepro 200 AW bag. It has one strap that goes across your body, and the bag can easily be rotated around to your front to get in and get out gear. Also makes a good elbow rest in this position....There are really a lot of good bags out there, so it kind of comes down to personal preference. Try out a few at a local camera store if you have one. Just a thought from Daniel

Would that be the Verex, Slingshot, Nova or Inverse 200AW ? just out of curiosity. Andy D

It comes in 3 different sizes and allows you to pull the camera out of the side, so you don't have to put the bag down. You can also configure it to be worn as a backpack or sling style. You can also configure it to remove the camera out of EITHER side of the backpack, which is the main reason I never bought a Lowepro Slingshot. The Slingshot is configured on the opposite side that I want to use. Canon 50D | Rebel XT | 17-55 IS | 70-300 IS | 10-22 | Flash 430EX

I can even fit my SD450 in there as well as the hood for the 70-300 IS. It has more room than you think!

It may be slightly bigger than you need, but it's a decent size and let's you fit quite a bit without being really bulky. I manage to stuff in my 20D with grip, Tamron 28-75, Canon 10-22, Canon 70-200 f/2.8 IS, Canon 50 f1.8, external flash, extra batteries and cards, battery charger, and even my Tokina 24-200 on the off time I want the range in 1 lens over the higher quality glass. 5D Mark II, Leica M8
